Artist Description:  Whether a bird in the sky or whale in the ocean, freedom soars and dives!

A celebration of sculpted motion, Dive shares the exultation of letting go, committing to the movement. With beautiful deep colors of blue echoing both below and above, Dive was created from fossil wood found in the desert, with fibers created from the trunk of a Santa Rita cactus. 

 Dive was hand painted with a variety of luminous blues with transparent acrylic colors, mounted on Arizona petrified wood from the Triassic period over 200 million ago. All were sealed for an archival, museum finish to ensure years of luminous color.
